The Philadelphia 76ers will waive previously-acquired forward-center Trevor Booker, a move that is expected to make room for free agent forward Ersan Ilyasova, who is fresh out of securing a buyout with the Atlanta Hawks, according to Michael Scotto of The Athletic.

Booker, who was traded for an estranged Jahlil Okafor earlier in the season; will join the Indiana Pacers after clearing waivers, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

He had $2.1 million left on his contract with Philadelphia. If he clears waivers on Friday, the minimum he could be signed to is $457,000, per ESPN Insider Bobby Marks.

The experiment in Philly did not work out as imagined, as the organization looks to add shooting and depth instead of the motor Booker was supposed to bring upon his arrival at the City of Brotherly love.

Ilyasova landed a buyout with the Hawks last week and will now get a reunion with his former team (from last season), as his services as a stretch four are once again in high need. This would mark the sixth time Ilyasova has landed with a different team since the start of the 2015-16 season and the fifth team he's seen in the span of three years.

Booker will try to mesh with the Pacers, who have won seven of their last 10 games and own sole possession of the fifth place in a very competitive Eastern Conference this season. His rebounding and energy off the bench could provide a different angle to an already sharp core of players.
