Sacramento Kings forward Skal Labissiere paid a visit to his native Haiti for the first time since 2010 on Wednesday, later meeting with the man who, alongside his father, managed to pull him out from underneath the rubble during a 2010 earthquake.

In a small country, much-maligned by natural disasters during recent memory, the man and Labissiere's father searched through debris before finding the soon-to-be pro trapped under rubble.

Labissiere, who boasts a size similar to Giannis Antetokounmpo at 6-foot-11 and 225 pounds, had a nice going during the end of the season, averaging 8.8 points on 53.7 percent shooting, along with 4.9 rebounds on 18.5 minutes per game.

The Kentucky product garnered 12 starts in his 33 appearances, giving the front office plenty to salivate about with his dynamic play at the forward spot.
