The Chicago Sky take on Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. Our WNBA odds series has our Sky Fever prediction, odds, and pick. Find out how to watch Sky Fever.

The last time the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever met, the game was decided by one point … and that was not what people were talking about once the game ended. Indiana won, but the headlines generated by that game came from an incident in which Chicago's Chennedy Carter gave a very hard foul on Caitlin Clark. The play was called a common foul when either a technical foul or a flagrant foul were warranted. Another aspect of the play which drew national attention was that Clark's Indiana teammates did not immediately rush to her defense or make sure Chennedy Carter received a message. The incident was a reminder that Indiana needed to not only play better basketball, but grow into the identity of a team ready to defend its best-known player and stand up for itself.

Did the Fever get the message? This reunion with Chicago will say a lot about that question. To give the Fever some credit, they did defeat the Atlanta Dream earlier this week and showed that they are improving instead of regressing. However, improvement and regression don't just apply to one game or one week. This process must be continuous for Indiana as it moves along with its WNBA season.

Why The Sky Could Cover The Spread

The Sky know what happened the last time they played the Fever. They couldn't finish the game, which has been a recurring theme for this team. Chicago has lost a number of close games, including this past Friday night against the Washington Mystics, in which it lost by two, 83-81. This team is going to be very angry and very motivated against Indiana on Sunday. The Sky aren't a good team, but they will have a point to prove against an opponent which is not definitively better. Chicago will strike back and win this game outright, which will be good enough to cover.

Why The Fever Could Cover The Spread

The Fever are getting better. Their win over the Atlanta Dream this past week was a solid performance which should make this team more confident about its ability to get the job done. This team has been through a lot of adversity, and moreover, that adversity has occurred under immense scrutiny from local and national media, due to the presence of Caitlin Clark on the roster. If you were to ask if Indiana is shriveling or getting stronger as a result of everything it has endured and is currently enduring, you would have to say the Fever are improving and are moving in the right direction. That is reason to pick them over the Sky, who lost to the 2-12 Washington Mystics on Friday and continue to be plagued by slow starts. Chicago just doesn't seem to be figuring things out. Advantage, Fever.

Final Sky-Fever Prediction & Pick

These teams are evenly matched and unreliable. It's exactly the kind of game you should stay away from completely.

Final Sky-Fever Prediction & Pick: Sky +2
