Al Nassr ace Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the Saudi Pro League's Player of the Month for August. With this award, the former Real Madrid man has become the first player to win the Player of the Month award across four different countries. Previously, he has won this award in England, Spain, and Italy.

It has been a remarkable month for the Portuguese legend, as he single-handedly guided Al Nassr to their first Arab Club Champions Cup title. Despite going down to nine men against Al Hilal, Ronaldo scored a brace as Al Nassr won 2-1 after extra time. Shortly after the second goal, the Portugal captain left the pitch due to a knee injury.

Manager Luis Castro felt his absence as Al Nassr lost their opening two league matches in the Saudi Pro League. However, he returned from the knee injury in sensational form as he scored a hat-trick against Al Fateh. It was the 63rd hat-trick of his career and the first in Saudi Arabia.

In the next match, the Al Nassr talisman scored another brace against Al Shabab and refused the chance to score a second hat-trick in as many games. Instead, he gave the penalty to his teammate Abdulrahman Ghareeb so he could score his first goal of the season. Unfortunately, the Saudi Arabian winger missed the penalty. Moreover, Ronaldo was denied a headed goal in the 17th minute after VAR disallowed his goal for nudging his marker. The former Manchester United man was extremely angry with the decision.

As a result of his performances, he has been named Saudi Arabia's Player of the Month. He will be in action next against Al Hazem on Saturday.
