The horrific scenes which took place on Saturday have resulted in all of Sunday's games being canceled. Liga MX president Mikel Arriola released a statement denouncing the violent actions that took place at Estadio Corregidora on Saturday night.

His statement roughly translates to say, “Inadmissible and unfortunate violence in the Corregidora stadium in Querétaro. Those responsible for the lack of security in the stadium will be punished in an exemplary manner. The safety of our players and fans is priority! We will keep reporting.”

Liga MX later announced their intentions to launch an investigation into the incident. The league also laid down some new bylaws as a result of the violence, including the suspension of the home stadium, Estadio Corregidora, removal of the away supporters' sections at stadiums, and possibly even removing Queretaro from the league.

While the removal of Queretaro from Liga MX seems unlikely, Arriola refused to rule out the possibility as the league continues to gather information about what caused the horrific and tragic events of Saturday night.

Editor's note: Despite earlier claims that the brawl caused multiple deaths, latest updates on the situation revealed no casualties.
