The Los Angeles Sparks take on the Minnesota Lynx. Our WNBA odds series has our Sparks Lynx prediction, odds, and pick. Find out how to watch Sparks Lynx.

The Los Angeles Sparks were knocked back a few pegs by the red-hot Seattle Storm earlier this week, but women's basketball analysts are still digesting the fact that the Sparks were able to beat the WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces this past Sunday. The 96-92 win over Vegas was a comeback win from a 15-point deficit. The Sparks showed great resilience. Things didn't go as well for Los Angeles in Seattle, but the Sparks have at least shown what their ceiling can look like when everything comes together at the offensive end of the floor. Los Angeles's offense hasn't been that consistent so far this season, but the display versus Vegas enabled people to see that the Sparks might have more potential in 2024 (not just the future) than previously imagined.

The Minnesota Lynx are playing elite basketball right now. The Lynx have just three losses. They own the third-best record in the WNBA. They also are 3-0 against the fourth-place Seattle Storm, marking them as the clear-cut best team in the Western Conference. Minnesota has shown an ability to play top-tier hoops at both ends of the floor. Some nights, the Lynx score at a very high level, as was the case in their recent 100-86 win over the Las Vegas Aces on the road. Other nights, the Lynx put the clamps on an opponent, as they did in their 83-64 win over the Storm one week ago. Minnesota can win a track meet, and it can also win a street fight. This team looks like a favorite to reach the WNBA semifinals and make a strong run at the WNBA Finals in late summer.

Why The Sparks Could Cover The Spread

The Los Angeles Sparks have to be taken more seriously after giving up the first 14 points of the game to the mighty Las Vegas Aces, the WNBA champions, and still finding a way to win. Los Angeles dominated large portions of that game after stumbling out of the gate. This team's resilience and quality might have been underestimated.

The spread for this game is really large, at 13 points. Los Angeles, given a new measure of confidence by its recent achievements, has a decent chance of keeping this game close enough to cover.

Why The Lynx Could Cover The Spread

The Minnesota Lynx torched Seattle — a good team — by 19. Then the Lynx hammered the defending champion Aces by 14 on the road in Vegas. Those were two awesome and very convincing performances from Minnesota, which defeated the Los Angeles Sparks by 24 points in the most recent meeting between the two teams. The Lynx devoured the Sparks, 86-62, thriving at both ends of the floor as they so often do. If Minnesota won by 24 on the road, it should be able to cover a 13-point spread at home.

Final Sparks-Lynx Prediction & Pick

The Lynx are an excellent team, and they just beat the Aces by 14 on the road. If they can beat Vegas by 14 on the road, they can beat L.A. at home by at least that much if not a lot more. Take Minnesota.

Final Sparks-Lynx Prediction & Pick: Lynx -13
