Gregg Popovich praises March For Our Lives, calls Donald Trump coward
The March For Our Lives rally took place all across the country on Saturday with the main event happening in Washington, D.C.
The march called for common sense gun control laws so that these shooting tragedies will stop happening all across the country. It brought out hundreds of thousands of young adults trying to make their voice heard. Patriots owner Robert Kraft even let the kids of Parkland Florida use the team jet to get up to Washington, D.C.
Thank you so much for coming out today.

One of the biggest fans of the march was Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich who gave his thoughts to Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News.
Pop praised all the young people for marching yesterday and said Trump not being in D.C. was an act of “cowardice.”…”The fact that our president left town…(indicates) he doesn’t care about anything other than his insatiable ego.”
“It’s just cowardice,” Popovich said. “A real leader would have been in Washington D.C. this weekend, not in his penthouse at Mar-a-Lago, would have had the decency to meet with the group, to see what is going on and how important it is and how important our children should be to us.”
Instead of being in Washington, D.C, Trump spent the weekend golfing at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, FL.
Popovich has never been shy about giving criticism for President Trump and that wasn’t any different on Sunday when he had some choice words.
The Spurs took on the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday and they fell just short losing, 106-103.
