The San Antonio Spurs are cashing in on their trips to the free-throw line this season. In fact, according to Basketball-Reference, the Spurs have recorded the highest team free-throw percentage in NBA history through the first 32 games of this season.

Just how well are the Spurs shooting free throws, you ask? As of Thursday, the team is shooting 83.36 percent from the charity stripe, which is just a bit higher than the number that the Boston Celtics posted during their 1989-90 campaign (83.19 percent from the free-throw line). The 2002-03 Dallas Mavericks (82.88) round out the top three.

Believe it or not, every single player on San Antonio's roster is shooting free throws at 70 percent or better. Davis Bertans is currently leading the squad in this department with a 92 percent accuracy rate. Dante Cunningham, who's shooting free throws at a 90 percent clip, is just behind. DeMar DeRozan, who's knocking down 85 percent of his shots at the stripe, leads the team in free-throw attempts with 6.3 per game.

The Spurs, who are also leading the league in 3-point shooting percentage, are off to a nice start this season. A 17-15 record has them leading the Southwest Division standings, but their ultimate goal lies in the postseason.

San Antonio's next shot at claiming a victory comes on Friday night, when they'll welcome the Minnesota Timberwolves to town. Tip-off inside the AT&T Center is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
