It's not every day that an NBA player airballs a free-throw. After all, they spent countless hours in the gym perfecting their craft. However, when a player airballs two consecutive free-throws, then it's a sign that he needs to spend more time in the gym. San Antonio Spurs big man Jakob Poeltl might be the newest Shaqtin' A Fool MVP for his two consecutive free-throw blunders.

One would think that he would've tweaked his stroke after badly missing the first one. However, Poeltl didn't learn from his mistakes. Look at the Spurs bench after Poeltl airballed his second freebie.

Spurs fans are probably familiar with Jakob Poeltl's misses at the free-throw line. This season, he's shooting just 38.4 percent from the charity stripe. For his career, he's a 50.9 percent FT shooter.

It's actually one big puzzle for fans and analysts why some NBA players are just horrendous free-throw shooters. Basketball, after all, is their job, right? And they get paid millions and millions of dollars for it.

Dwight Howard, who's a 56.5 percent career free-throw shooter,  once shared that he doesn't miss during practice. But during games, something just happens that causes him to miss his attempts. According to him, free-throws are really a mental thing. Taking his train of thought, something must have been extremely bothering the Spurs big man during that fateful trip to the line.
