While a lot of dominos have fallen already this NBA offseason, one question we are still waiting on an answer for is what the San Antonio Spurs are going to do with Kawhi Leonard.
Apparently, the Spurs aren't interested in budging to Leonard's demands.
The last part of that may be the most troubling. If this drags on all summer, there's no telling what will happen. That would mean all of the teams in the hunt for Leonard would have to make other moves to complete their rosters in case they don't get him. It could seriously complicate things and make it hard for Leonard to get what he wants.
Apparently that is Los Angeles, whether for the Lakers or Clippers. But what the Spurs reportedly want from the Lakers is so much that L.A. likely won't concede that much. The Spurs will likely have to bring down their demands to make a trade with the Lakers work.
Other teams in the hunt include the Philadelphia 76ers and maybe the Boston Celtics, but no progress has really been made.
It will be interesting to continue to monitor how this develops.
