Pittsburgh Steelers guard David DeCastro, who was a teammate with Andrew Luck was not happy to see how Indianapolis Colts fans treated him while he walked off the field after the teams third preseason game. Luck told Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he is disgusted by the way some people treat NFL players like they are circus animals.

DeCastro and Luck were roommates during college and still talk regularly, even though they are now on different teams. DeCastro said it was a bit surprising that Luck that retired but he doesn't think people realize how much an NFL player goes through.

“I talked to him the other day,” DeCastro said. “His life…it’s been tough. I don’t think people understand how hard it is on the body and mind. When you play the game, you know how hard it is. He did it the right way and was very professional about it.”

Luck has dealt with injuries most of his career, and during his retirement press conference, he said football was no longer fun and to change that he needed to remove himself from the game.

Now with less than two weeks left before the start of the NFL regular season, the Colts need to figure out what to do at quarterback. Jacoby Brissett is now the starter, but the questions come after him. The team has Chad Kelly and Phillip Walker on the roster, but it's not a guarantee either of those guys will be the backup.

The team could try and swing a trade for a backup, or look on the waiver wire after cutdown day.
