The Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the midst of contract negotiations with star running back Le'Veon Bell. Judging by Bell's recent posts on social media,  it does not seem to be going too well.

Bell has made it clear that he not only wants to be the highest-paid running back in the league but one of its most lucrative players. His latest post on Instagram showed that he is discouraged by the negative reaction he is getting from fans.

However, former teammate James Harrison and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. were quick to come to his defense.

Their support should hardly come as any surprise, albeit for different reasons.

It goes without saying that Harrison has taken jabs at his fair share of jabs at the team following his bitter departure. In many ways, he knows what it is like to have the organization shoot down the desires of their players.

Harrison's gripe with the Steelers began when he was relegated to a minor reserve role during the 2017 NFL season. As a result, he had long been seeking a way out before he was finally released and picked up by AFC rival New England Patriots.

Meanwhile, Beckham could be undergoing a dramatic break-up of his own. The star wideout shares Bell's same desire to be more than just the highest-paid player at his position. However, his tumultuous tenure with the Giants has now led them to make him available for a potential trade this offseason.

That said, it seems the players around the league are well-aware of the “loyalty” that exists in the NFL.
