In a night mired by sadness around the NBA community, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry chose to honor those who died at the Ghost Ship warehouse during the Oakland fire earlier this month.
The back-to-back MVP, partnered with his shoe brand, Under Armour, wore two different sets of sneakers with limited edition graphics honoring the life of those who died trapped in the unexpected fire.
The pair worn during warmups (Curry 1 Low), included a heavy combination of Oakland-inspired graffiti spelling “Ghost Ship” in two different designs along with the initials of every person who lost their life in the event.

The pair worn during the game (Curry 3), has a team-oriented design in the white, blue and yellow that spells “Oakland Strong” across the pair along with the initials of all the victims in the heel plate.
