Stephen Curry and company have 43 reasons to win the championship tonight in front of a packed home crowd at Oracle Arena during Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The Golden State Warriors will look to be the first Bay Area team to win a championship in front of their fans since a Rollie Fingers-led 1974 Oakland Athletics won the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (4-1) at a sold out Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

“That's the opportunity in front of us,” Curry told Ann Killion of the San Francisco Chronicle. “We haven't had that experience before, so it'd be a great night to get it done, to take advantage of the home crowd, the energy.”

“Given how poorly we played in Game 4, try to make the necessary adjustments energy-wise and focus-wise to try and get it done. We're in really good shape right now to have this opportunity tomorrow and we're looking forward to it.”

With Game 4's chance out of the question midway through the fourth quarter, the Warriors will look to put an end to the NBA Finals in tonight's Game 5, hoping to polish up on those defensive mistakes that costed them the game, allowing the Cleveland Cavaliers to shoot a blazing 24-of-45 from deep, boasting a plus-39 advantage from beyond the arc.
