Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is putting a stop sign on any predictions of an 82-0 season for the defending champions. As the team is still recuperating from injuries and fitness issues, Kerr is expecting a slow start from Golden State.

Yahoo Sports, via Omnisport, posted a story on the health issues that the Dubs are going through with their season slated to start tonight.

“We're not in perfect shape,” Kerr told reporters on Monday. “Shaun [Livingston] is questionable. Draymond [Green] only played one and a half games I think and needs more conditioning. So we've got some young guys we're going to count on.”

Kerr continued: “Camp was great, but we had a let-up last week defensively. We're trying to address those mistakes that we made and we'll see where we are [on Tuesday].

“I don't anticipate that we're going to be in high gear right away. We're not going to be nearly as good tomorrow as we will be down the road.”

Starting slow is not often the case for most NBA teams. But the Warriors are coming off a fourth straight Finals appearance, and the wear-and-tear of playing the most games in the league is already haunting the Dubs.

All-Star Draymond Green has been battling sore knee issues the whole offseason, even saying that he deviated from basketball activities for seven weeks just to reenergize him for the tough season ahead. DeMarcus Cousins, the Warriors' latest superstar acquisition, is also out due to an Achilles injury he sustained last season.

However, the Warriors are expected to reach peak form midway through the season as they are still the heavy-favorites to win the championship this year.
