Heading into Game 7, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has at his disposal one of most, if not the most, potent weapons in the league today in two-time Most Valuable Player, Stephen Curry.

Is he content with his top dog? Absolutely. But just two years ago, Kerr, who wasn’t affiliated with the Warriors at that time, had a different person in mind when it comes to his ideal Game 7 go-to-guy on the road.

The tweet was way back in March 2014, when LeBron James was still a member of the Miami Heat and Curry had not yet scratched his MVP potential.

For the record, the four-time league MVP in James has been very dominant in these deciding games. He holds a 34.4 point average in Game 7’s in his career.
