Steve Kerr may not be with the Golden State Warriors during their games now, but he still finds a way to make his presence felt even while recovering from his condition.

The third-year head coach usually gets in touch with his coaching staff and still gives his suggestions on how he thinks they can play more effectively against the Utah Jazz. One of his thoughts was how Kevin Durant should attack Rudy Gobert, despite his defensive prowess. Acting head coach Mike Brown even admitted, via Anthony Slater of The Mercury News, that it was Kerr's idea, as they to try and get him into foul trouble.

“It was something Steve brought up before the series.”

Durant also talked about adjusting to The Stifle Tower's defense early in their second round playoff series. He made it known that he trusts his perimeter game, which he knows is an effective weapon of his. The former MVP also added that he doesn't lack any confidence when it comes to his ability to score at will in every single game he plays in.

“He’s so good at covering up the paint. A few times (early in the game), I ran in there not thinking that he has an 8-foot wingspan, tried to shoot the ball over him and he blocked my shot. So after awhile you get smart enough to know I’ve been working on my pull-up my entire night, might as well pull it out.”

“I want to try to say this as humbly as I can, but I’ve been doing this for so long, every time I roll out of the bed and we’ve got a game that day, I feel like I can go out there and score.”

Even if there's no definite timetable when Kerr will rejoin his team, as he just recently had surgery on his spinal cord, the Bay Area faithful can still feel confident knowing that the team's head coach, is still giving his input, despite not being physically with the Dubs.

The Warriors are currently leading the Jazz 3-0 in their matchup and could sweep them in Game 4 on Monday. Should they eliminate their opponents on the night, they can keep their unblemished record in the this year's postseason intact, and also send a strong message to the rest of the competition that they are the favorites to win the title for a reason.
