Stevie Nicks was set to perform at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on June 15 during her 2024 tour. However, the Fleetwood Mac icon would have to postpone the show at the last minute.

This was a disappointing update for fans of Nicks. At 5:30 pm, just an hour and a half before Stevie Nicks’s Hershey show was set to commence, the venue announced the postponement.

“Regrettably, due to illness in the band, tonight’s performance is being postponed,” the announcement read. “Please hold on to your tickets. A new date will be announced soon.”

Angry fans

Fans were not happy, to say the least. In the comments of the post, they let out their frustrations. It seems that most of the fans were already arriving at the venue and now had to head home.

“How about you help us get out of this place I drove two hours for a canceled concert and I’ve been stuck in here for over an hour?!?!!!?!” one user said. “I just want to leave this stupid park and go home.”

Another fan was upset due to the last-minute nature of this announcement. “Was in line waiting for [hours] to open and wow last second cancellation!!! Over 1 hour to get out of parking lot!! Next time maybe not such [a] last second [announcement]!!”

“Nothing like canceling last-minute,” a different user said, continuing, “usually if you’re sick, you know well ahead of time.”

Not everyone was negative, though. A fan sympathized with the situation and hoped that the band member would recover soon.

“I’ve been feeling tired and worn out all day long! I can’t imagine what a member of the band feels like if they have a night to work and [are] that tired,” they said. “Take your time recovering Stevie and band.”

Similarly, another fan stayed positive. They did condemn the last-minute announcement, though. “While I hope everyone’s ok, this was incredibly last minute. Looking forward to the new date,” they said.

As some fans said, hopefully, whoever is sick will get soon. Nicks and Co. have been on tour since 2023. Their next date is on June 18, the show’s status is unclear.

Stevie Nicks has been on her current 2024 tour since 2023. There are only two more United States dates (three, if you count the yet-to-be-announced rescheduled Hersheypark Stadium show) before she heads to Europe.

Throughout the summer, Nicks will play six concerts in Europe beginning on July 3, 2024. She will commence the leg of the tour with a show in Dublin, Ireland. Then, Nicks will play shows in Glasgow, Manchester, London, Merksem, and Amsterdam.

Last year, Nicks embarked on a co-headlining tour with Billy Joel. They played in select stadiums in North America. Nicks has previously co-headlined tours with Don Henley, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Rod Stewart.

She is best known for her time in Fleetwood Mac. Nicks joined the band in 1975 and is known for her songs “Landslide,” “Rhiannon,” and “Dreams.”

As a solo artist, Nicks has released eight albums. She also recorded an album with Lindsey Buckingham (who also joined Fleetwood Mac) in 1973 titled Buckingham Nicks. As a part of Fleetwood Mac, Nicks took part in eight studio albums being recorded.
