Raise your hand if you had Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes dropping 37 points and 16 rebounds on Friday? How about 19 points in the first quarter? No? No one?

The Australian big man's career night has sent shockwaves throughout the NBA. With incumbent starter DeAndre Ayton out with a left ankle injury, Baynes stepped into the starting role and the rest was history.

Baynes got off to an incredibly fast start for the Suns, scoring 19 points in the game's first quarter while going 5-5 from deep. And while that insane production would slow down by the end of the game, Baynes' career night is certainly one for the history books.

Per Clevis Murray of The Athletic, Baynes became the first Sun to drop 35-plus points and 15-plus rebounds in a game since Amar'e Stoudemire in 2002.

The 33-year-old Baynes is also the oldest Suns player to have such a game since Hall of Famer Charles Barkley in 1996 while also being the fourth oldest player to achieve the feat in the last decade alongside LeBron James, Pau Gasol and Dirk Nowitzki.

Interestingly, according to the team, Baynes joined James Harden as the only players in history with 30-plus points and 15 or more rebounds with at least eight 3-pointers made.

While Aron Baynes' career-night is definitely a bit of an anomaly, the veteran big man is enjoying a career-year in his first season with the Suns. In 39 games, the 6-foot-10 center is averaging 10.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 33.1 percent on his 3-point attempts.
