Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul did not play in the team's preseason opener against the Utah Jazz on Saturday.
However, the Point God will make his debut on Monday night in the second leg of Phoenix's preseason slate against Utah.
Paul told reporters he would be suiting up on Monday before commenting on some of his early thoughts regarding his new team.
The 35-year-old stated he has been very impressed by the Suns' “attention to detail” in camp:
CP3 said the Suns' attention to detail in every aspect of preparation (practice, shootaround, etc.) brings on a really good feeling for him knowing all the work possible is being put in.

This is not a new sentiment from Paul, who said during an appearance on JJ Redick's The Old Man and the Three podcast that he's enamored with head coach Monty Williams' preparedness in practice.
Article Continues BelowThe Suns might well be one of the rising teams — no pun intended — in the Western Conference this season.
Phoenix was aggressive in landing Paul, sending a budding wing player in Kelly Oubre Jr. and a steady point guard in Ricky Rubio to the Oklahoma City Thunder (they were then flipped) in addition to draft compensation.
But the veteran Paul gives the Suns a consummate leader and a guy who just made an All-NBA team in his age-34 season.
Phoenix has plenty of young talent, led by Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton. Paul should bring the leadership and the energy to the table and — with Williams bogged down by the details — the intangibles could make all the difference as the Suns hope to get back to the playoffs for the first time in over a decade.
