Phoenix Suns All-Star guard Chris Paul displayed a hell of a highlight against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

Paul, who is in the conversation to win this season’s MVP award, baptized rookie Gabriel Deck with a nasty crossover along with a made basket. Adding insult to the injury, CP3 ended it up by waving to the Thunder bench.

The Point God has been on a tear as of late, averaging 16.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists this season prior to Sunday. He has brought a winning culture to the Suns organization, who are now one of the top teams in the Western Conference standings.

Considering how the Suns are playing right now, they have a good shot to make a deep playoff run and even win the championship.

As for Chris Paul, his legacy could be determined based on if he wins a championship or not. However, there’s no denying that wherever he goes, he seems to uplift the team’s winning record. Last season’s Thunder team surprised a ton of people after they pushed James Harden and the Houston Rockets to seven games in the first round of the playoffs. This 2020-21, he has helped the Suns end their 10-year playoff drought.

When Paul played for the Rockets, he helped take the squad to the Western Conference Finals and who knows what would’ve happened if he didn’t get hurt. Paul has already cracked the Top 5 for most assists in NBA history this campaign, so there's no denying only a ring is lacking in his Hall of Fame credentials.

The Suns should be able to maintain their position in the Western Conference standings as they have a somewhat easy schedule ahead. They’ll be going up against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks in the next coming days.
