The Phoenix Suns might not be in 100 percent form when they open their 2023-24 NBA campaign on the road Wednesday night versus Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Phoenix newcomer Bradley Beal is reportedly “unlikely” to play, while there is also a level of uncertainty with regards to the status of guard Devin Booker. So here's the big question about the shooting guard: Is Devin Booker playing tonight vs. the Warriors?

Devin Booker injury status vs. Warriors

The former Kentucky Wildcats star is said to be dealing with big toe soreness, according to Kellan Olson of Arizona Sports. Devin Booker did not suit up in the Suns' preseason finale versus the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 19, but it was only due to rest. Apparently, there is more to that, as Booker is in trouble for missing the huge matchup against the Warriors.

In the event that either Devin Booker or Beal gets sidelined for the Warriors game, that will leave a tremendous offensive responsibility on the shoulders of Kevin Durant. Grayson Allen, Eric Gordon, and Josh Okogie could all see more minutes than expected in case Booker or Beal sits the Warriors game out.

Booker led the Suns in scoring in the 2022-23 NBA season, as he put up 27.8 points per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from behind the arc, and 85.5 percent from the free-throw line across 53 contests.

So, when it comes to the question of whether Devin Booker is playing tonight vs. the Warriors, perhaps it's just better to stay tuned as the game inches closer to tip-off.
