Jamal Crawford is now in good company, as he is being lined up with Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. Crawford had a career-high in assists in their 128-110 win over the New York Knicks on Monday night.

Crawford dished out a career-high 14 assists against the Knicks. The Phoenix Suns made sure the career-night of Crawford won't go unnoticed. Phoenix pointed out that their veteran guard joined Bryant as the only player to tally 14+ assists in their 19th season or later in the league.

Bryant had 17 assists back in January 2015, when they took a 109-102 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was recorded during Bryant's 19th season in the league.

Crawford's previous career-high was 12 assists. Following the game, Crawford said that fans might be surprised of his passing ability because he is known for his scoring. He pointed out, though, that he played point guard in high school and college, and was also a playmaker earlier in his NBA career.

“I think especially for me, I'm known as such a scorer, and I can score — like, I really can score — but sometimes the defense thinks that, too, and they fall asleep and I see guys,” Jamal Crawford said via ESPN.

Before tallying his career-best in assists, the 38-year-old guard had five dimes during their 99-89 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. He then followed it up with a seven-assist performance in their 107-99 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

The Suns have now won three-straight games, extending their only winning streak so far in the season. However, Phoenix still holds the second-worst record in the league at 7-24.
