Phoenix Suns guard Jamal Crawford has been on his share of teams in his long career in the NBA. Crawford's career dates back to the 2000-01 season when he made his debut with the Chicago Bulls.

This past offseason Crawford parted ways with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and on October 17th he decided to join the Phoenix Suns for the 2018-19 season.

Crawford was taking questions from his followers on Twitter and provided this explanation when asked why he ultimately decided to sign with the Phoenix Suns.

Jamal Crawford will surely bring forth a wealth of knowledge to the young stars on the Phoenix Suns including Devin Booker, Josh Jackson, and Deandre Ayton. It's no secret, Jamal Crawford can down right play basketball and the fact that he is doing so at this stage in his career speaks volumes for the NBA journeyman.

Crawford is entering his 19th NBA season and this marks his eighth team he has played for in his career. The 38-year old veteran has been awarded the Sixth Man award three times (2016, 2014, 2010). He earned two of those awards in his successful stint with the Los Angeles Clippers and in 2010 with the Atlanta Hawks. Crawford has played in an unbelievable 1,262 games, placing him 30th on the all-time list.

It's also worth noting that the Phoenix Suns clearly have all confidence in the world in Jamal Crawford. Their desire to sign him suggests they like what he brings to the game and his knowledge can very well translate to the young players on the roster.
