The Phoenix Suns made an incredible and improbable run to the NBA Finals last year, led by head coach Monty Williams and stars Chris Paul and Devin Booker. The Suns gave the Milwaukee Bucks a run for their money but ultimately fell just short of the title in seven hard-fought games. In an interview with ESPN, Williams recounted the NBA Finals series, dropping a shocking truth bomb on Paul and Booker.

Wow. Suns head coach Monty Williams is basically saying that Chris Paul and Devin Booker, as well as key reserve Jae Crowder, shouldn't have played in the NBA Finals against the Bucks.

Williams specifically referenced Game 3 in regard to Booker and Crowder, as Booker was dealing with a hamstring injury, which essentially forced him to play on one leg. Williams has acknowledged the Booker injury before but it's very noteworthy to hear him say that the Suns star probably shouldn't have played. Paul was nursing finger and wrist injuries as well.

Suns fans, already huge fans of Booker and Paul, likely have a whole new appreciation for them after hearing this shocking revelation from Williams. Not to mention a feeling of what could have been had the two stars been healthy.

Even though the Suns fell just short of their goal, Chris Paul and Devin Booker clearly gave everything they had to Monty Williams and the Phoenix franchise.
