Phoenix Suns point guard Ricky Rubio will be questionable to play against the Atlanta Hawks tomorrow evening. Rubio is set to become a father as he's expecting his first child.

Rubio has been playing phenomenal this year as he's averaging a career-high 13.2 points and a career-high 9.3 assists. He's currently ranked second in the league with assists, just behind Lebron James. The 28-year-old has managed to exceed expectations first season with the Suns. Rubio has developed his role as a second playmaker for the team to help out the workload of Devin Booker.

Rubio signed a 3 year,$51 million contract with the Suns this past offseason. He's played in 33 of the Suns 39 games, only missing 6 games throughout the season so far. Rubio has also been a solid veteran presence in the locker for the young team. The Suns currently have the youngest roster age in the entire NBA, with an average age of 24.49 years.

The Suns are currently ranked 10th in the Western Conference with a record of 16-23. Despite the suspension to Deandre Ayton, they're only 2 games behind the Memphis Grizzlies, who are the eighth seed. The Suns have shown glimpses of becoming a playoff team with statement wins over numerous .500 teams, however, they've lacked consistency.

Once they start winning game more consistency they could most certainly stage a run for the lower playoff seeds. They haven't been in the playoffs in nearly 10 years. They're seeking to extend their win streak to three against the Hawks.
