There are rumors swirling around that superstar Devin Booker wants to be traded away from the Phoenix Suns.

However, John Gambadoro of Phoenix Sports 98.7 FM says otherwise. Gambadoro took to Twitter to dispute these claims.

Many people have been calling for Booker to be put in a “better” situation over the last few years. But that bubble performance has changed a lot of minds. Therefore, it really should not be all that much of a surprise that the superstar does not want out.

Phoenix went 8-0 in the bubble, narrowly missing the playoffs. In that time, Booker cemented himself as a truly elite superstar. He was not the only one to make a name for himself, though. A lot of players on the team stepped up and proved they are ready to compete now.

Booker's two best seasons in the NBA have come over the last two years. He is scoring more, but also getting his teammates more involved. At the same time, he can get into the mix rebounding and defensively.

What was most important last year though, was the growth of his team. The Suns have done a nice job building around Booker. Deandre Ayton is another star, while Kelly Oubre Jr. enjoyed a breakout year in 2019-20.

At the same time they have put a lot of pieces in place. Pieces that might not be “stars,” but do what needs to be done and will help the team win.

The Suns have a young and exciting roster. They are not perfect yet, but last season in the bubble proved that they are ready to compete now.

With that in mind, it makes sense that Booker is not actively looking to be traded. Something is brewing in Phoenix. It stands to reason that their star player would like to be a part of that.
