Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Debunked Engagement Rumors

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift with engagement rings surrounding them

Swift is used to the internet butting into her personal life. Rumors began to spread about she and her boyfriend Travis Kelce getting engaged that they had to shut down as well.

Earlier this year, an insider told Page Six that, “Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan.”

The source added: “They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.”

Another source per Us Weekly is denying that an engagement is not on the table at least at the moment.

“Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” a source told the publication. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”

The source went on to say that those closest to the couple would love for them to get engaged and think that it's a possibility that it could happen.

The pair have been getting pressure from fellow celebrities like actor Jason Sudeikis. Kelce was joined by the Ted Lasso star and comedians Robert Smigel and George Wendt in a comedy skit at the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend. In a moment that has since gone viral on social media, the actor asked the NFL star when he would be putting a ring on it.

“Travis, real talk, okay, just the guys here,” Sudeikis said to Kelce adding, “When are you going to make an honest woman out of her?” Sudeikis continued.

“Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore and, again, I know your kicker agrees with me. He gets it,” Sudeikis said referring to the controversial statement that Kelce's teammate Harrison Butker spoke about women and members of the LGBTQI+ community during a recent college commencement speech.

However, it an engagement is not completely off the table.

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” an insider shared with Us Weekly back in May. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is not planning to get down on one knee right now, he still adores his relationship with the Grammy winner, but“he’s just not there yet.”
