EA Sports has gradually announced this year's highest-rated players in this year's Madden video game. Recently, they announced the final player who will be rated 99 overall and he plays for the Houston Texans.

On Friday, EA Sports announced that DeAndre Hopkins is the fourth and final member of Madden's “99 club“. Hopkins joins the likes of Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack, and Bobby Wagner. Not a bad group to be involved in.

The Texans All-Pro receiver took to Twitter after he was revealed as the last member of the 99 club.

You can't argue that Hopkins isn't a cheat code in real life. In Madden this year, he will be the best receiver in the game and some would say he's the best receiver in football in real life as well. It's pretty telling that Hopkins is the only offensive player who was given a 99 overall rating.

Over the past five seasons, Hopkins has averaged 95 receptions, 1,327 yards, and nine touchdowns. Those numbers are mighty impressive when you consider who was throwing him the ball before Deshaun Watson arrived in 2017.

Last season, Hopkins was ranked behind Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, and Odell Beckham Jr. in Madden ratings. Hopkins would outplay all three of those receivers in most categories.

The argument for the NFL's best receiver will always have differing opinions. Some people like Julio, while others may take OBJ. Nonetheless, EA Sports believes that Hopkins is the best receiver in the NFL heading into 2019.

The numbers speak for themselves and Hopkins will prove once again why he deserves to be a 99 overall player during the 2019 campaign.
