The Houston Texans had a successful season last year, although it ended in disappointing fashion. They won the AFC South, but got beat handily in the first round of the playoffs by the division rival Colts. As they look to carry over that same success to 2019, they're mostly just running it back with the same team.

Houston didn't have too many major acquisitions or departures this offseason, so the group will look very familiar next season. One returning player they're hoping for big things from is second-year receiver Keke Coutee. Coutee showed flashes as a rookie last season, but his year was ruined by recurrent hamstring injuries.

Still, he clearly has a lot of talent, and Deshaun Watson is high on him heading into 2019. Watson said Coutee is playing with more confidence this season and “playing a lot faster,” per James Palmer of NFL Network.

“You never know what he’s going to do with the ball in his hands,” he added, also saying that you need to find a way to get him the ball anytime he's on the field.

It sure sounds like Watson plans on Coutee being a big part of the offense next season. Even if Deandre Hopkins and Will Fuller are both healthy, Coutee should still have a very important role in the slot. And that's assuming Fuller, who is coming off an ACL tear and always seems to be banged up, can stay healthy.

Coutee, a fourth round pick out of Texas Tech, had 28 catches for 287 yards and a touchdown last season in just six games. With a full season, he should blow past those numbers, and Texans fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about their receiving group.
