Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed a massive contract extension with the reigning Super Bowl champs on Monday, sticking around Arrowhead Stadium for at least the next 10 years.

In response to the headline-grabbing news, Houston Texans star defensive end JJ Watt hyped his teammate, signal-caller Deshaun Watson, as the next QB getting a ginormous payday on social media.

Watt, 31, shared on Twitter a GIF of Hall of Fame center Shaquille O'Neal while tagging the 24-year-old Watson. Watson, a two-time Pro Bowler, is one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and from the same draft class as Mahomes (the two gunslingers are even friends), so the Texans QB could see an extension for himself next—although it's tough to argue for a bigger deal than the one Mahomes agreed to.

Watson had some friction with the franchise this offseason due to Houston trading main offensive target Deandre Hopkins, with the star wide receiver going to the Arizona Cardinals.

A former Heisman Trophy finalist and national champion with Clemson, Watson's contract extension may be the next among the latest crop of young quarterbacks. Mahomes, on the other hand though, signed a 10-year deal worth upwards of $500 million, securing the star gunslinger in Kansas City through 2031.

Mahomes is also a league MVP and Super Bowl MVP after winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the Chiefs after 50 years without an appearance in the title game.

Watson, Watt, and the Texans met Mahomes and the Chiefs in the 2019-20 NFL postseason, with Kansas City mounting a huge comeback to seal the divisional round victory.

Watt, the face of the Texans for some time now as a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and five-time Pro Bowl selection, locked up with Houston after signing a six-year extension back before the 2014 NFL season.
