A wild Houston Texans offseason continues to spiral on. After trading away the team's best receiver, another Texans wideout is making the headlines once again. 7-year veteran Kenny Stills is among 87 persons facing felony charges which transpired during a Breonna Taylor protest.

Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville police who were serving a no-knock warrant in March. The police took Stills into custody on Tuesday afternoon after he and other protesters marched to the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. The lawyer was accused of failing to take action following the 26-year old’s death.

The Louisville Courier Journal disclosed the development of the news:

Per the report, Texans' Stills was charged with “intimidating a participant in the legal process,” which is a felony. He also was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

The wide receiver has always been vocal about societal issues. He is one of the active NFL players who has knelt during the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police brutality in past seasons. He is also active on social media and regularly posts about social justice issues.

One of these include his dissent on the upcoming NFL season which he posted on Twitter:

The former Oklahoma Sooner tallied 40 receptions, 561 receiving yards, and 4 touchdowns. The loss of star wide receiver Deandre Hopkins could have potentially given Stills more opportunities to contribute for his team in the upcoming season.

The Texans already got hold of the news and released a statement:

“We are aware of the situation and are gathering more information.”
