The 2022 edition of The Match is set to feature some of the biggest names in professional sports. One of golf's most enjoyable exhibition events will be heavily football-focused this season, as the two teams have been revealed to include four NFL quarterbacks. The Match will see Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers team up to take down the youth movement that is Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in what should be an entertaining day of golf.

The Match, which is sponsored by Capital One, is set to take place on June 1st at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada, which is the same course the Bryson DeChambeau vs. Brooks Koepka exhibition bout took place.

Previous renditions of The Match have seen some notable names take to the course for 18 holes. Back in its first year in 2018, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson squared off for a $9 million prize, won by Lefty. In 2020, Woods and Mickelson added teammates to the contest. Tiger paired up with Peyton Manning, while Mickelson joined forces with Tom Brady in the exhibition clash dubbed the Champions for Charity. Later that year, Mickelson and Charles Barkley took on Stephen Curry and Manning in the Champions for Change.

On July 6, 2021, DeChambeau and Rodgers matched up against Mickelson and Brady for The Match IV in Big Sky, Montana at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin.

For fans of both football and golf, this year's edition of The Match is the perfect blend, as fans will get to see four of the best quarterbacks of the modern era hit the links for 18 holes in what should be some friendly, yet competitive, fun.
