Following the Golden State Warriors' dominant run through the NBA Finals with a sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers, it has put LeBron James' future at the center of attention with his pending free agency decision this offseason.

There have been several teams prominently rumored as potential landing spots for the four-time league MVP this summer, but one franchise that hasn't been mentioned in the conversation yet has been the Oklahoma City Thunder. According to Skip Bayless of FS1, rapper Lil' Wayne messaged him to state that he believes James will join the Thunder in free agency.

At this point, there has been no discussion about this being a possibility for James in free agency. Oklahoma City is tied up a bit financially with their own pair of possible free agents in Paul George and Carmelo Anthony each having player options for the 2018-19 season. There has been the expectation that Anthony will pick up the $27.9 million option due to the fact that he won't likely get that type of money in his next contract if he were to decline it.

Meanwhile, George looks to be headed toward the free agent market where several teams will be interested. If he were to choose to either re-sign or opt into the final year of his deal, it would put the Thunder in a financial bind that would prevent them from even having a chance to bring in James, who will command a lucrative offer that should be a max contract. The idea of him joining the Thunder to play alongside George and Westbrook is quite intriguing but that doesn't appear to be realistic due to the financial constraints that the team will have.

This is simply a free agency scenario that has been tossed out there in an attempt to stir the pot without any true credence to it possibly coming to fruition.
