Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is known for his ridiculous shot-making ability that includes launching and converting from half-court during some of his pregame warmups. It seems Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has taken a page out of Curry's book this summer.

Five straight from just a shade inside the half-court line is pretty impressive, regardless of who is shooting. Obviously, Edwards won't be taking shots like this for the Timberwolves during games, but perhaps it's a sign of things to come with his perimeter game as he enters his second season.

Edwards was the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Many questioned if he would be a “true” No. 1 pick. Ant responded by posting big numbers in his rookie season while providing one viral dunk after another.

It's been a long time since the Timberwolves have had a core this good while having legitimate optimism swirl around the franchise. The Western Conference is loaded, there's no doubting that; but with a nucleus of Karl-Anthony Towns, Edwards and D'Angelo Russell, Minnesota could be in the playoff mix this upcoming season.

One of the big deciding variables will be Edwards and how much he improves from year one to year two. If he keeps adding new layers of quality, the Timberwolves will be a real fascinating team to follow. Who knows, maybe Edwards will extend that 3-point range to provide an extra jolt to Minnesota's offense.
