The supposed revenge game in sports happens when a player faces his or her former team again. If the said player did not have the best of times with that team, then the game becomes even more interesting. On Friday, the Minnesota Timberwolves went up against one of their former players in Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. Karl-Anthony Towns and Butler ultimately got into it.

With that in mind, Anthony Edwards gave his take on the beef in a post-game interview, via Dane Moore:

Although Edwards is just a rookie, it is commendable that he is already standing up for one of his Timberwolves teammates. Edwards is on a good track, building rapport with the Minnesota franchise and its players.

The Heat had the last laugh in this game, as they came out on top 121-112. Both Towns and Edwards had solid performances as the former put up 27 points, six boards, and four assists, while the latter had a similar line of 25 points, six rebounds, and three dimes. The duo played well, although their shooting from outside could have been better.

Edwards had a rough start to his rookie campaign, but as of late he been scoring more efficiently for the Timberwolves and his overall game has improved. He is in the running to win the Rookie of the Year Award.

The Timberwolves are out of play-in contention, however, they are still playing hard to close the season.
