Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio has made a habit of setting up teammate Karl-Anthony Towns in the post, regularly setting up the big man for monster finishes, thanks to his gorgeous passing ability. Tuesday night against the Detroit Pistons, KAT more than returned the favor, dropping a slick, behind-the-back dime to a cutting Rubio who promptly nailed a nine-footer.

Is there anything Karl-Anthony Towns can't do?

Despite entering the second half with a 22-point advantage over the rudderless Pistons, Detroit promptly embarked on a 12-nothing run to start the third quarter that promptly got the team back into the game. Not ready to let the East's cellar-dwellers back into the match, however, Towns and the Timberwolves immediately responded with an 8-0 run of their own capped by the give-and-go action between KAT and Rubio.

Demanding the ball in the midrange, Towns was immediately swarmed by two Detroit defenders who perfectly executed a trap just outside the lane. Unfortunately for them, Towns appears to have grown eyes on the back of his head, as the big man deftly anticipated Rubio's cut towards the baseline before placing a drop pass right on target to the waiting guard.

Not only did the bucket push the Timberwolves' lead back up to 18-points, but it helped ensure Minnesota earned the win over the Pistons 119-100. While the Wolves have now won seven of their past eleven matches against the backdrop of their ownership search, the victory does mean that Minnesota could drop out of the top five in the upcoming draft lottery.

When you have a center capable of passing like Karl-Anthony Towns, however, you might not need another top draft pick.
