No matter who it is, March Madness touches everyone in some way, shape or form, and this is particularly true for Minnesota Timberwolves forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns.

Towns played at Kentucky for the 2014-15 season, being a focal part of a team that went to the Final Four that year. Since then, the ties to the Wildcats' program under head coach John Calipari remain deep.

So it wouldn't be surprising if Karl-Anthony Towns had a sad reaction to seeing Kentucky get eliminated by another pack of Wildcats, Kansas State, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. As a matter of fact, this is confirmed by the man himself, via his Twitter page.

Sometimes, words aren't needed to display feelings, and considering the circumstances mentioned above, a tear and broken heart emoji from Towns says everything that needs to be said. Those emojis probably describes what everyone in Big Blue Nation is feeling at this moment.

Of course, there are alumni everywhere who have these same feelings. Among NBA superstars who are there with Towns would include Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (Duke) and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (Kansas), both who saw their respective colleges get bounced out earlier than expected.

Another faction of people who are feeling some heartache are those who saw their brackets get busted beyond belief. One can bet there are many who are waiting to fill out second-chance brackets before the Sweet Sixteen portion of the tournament begins Thursday.

Sadness is a common theme this time of the year, and for Towns and Kentucky fans, this is their time to experience the grief.
