Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Malik Beasley will likely be suspended by the NBA after getting arrested a few months ago, per Dane Moore of Canis Hoops.

Beasley is being charged with fifth-degree drug possession and threats of violence.

Malik Beasley has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately. Aside from his arrest, the Timberwolves forward is allegedly cheating on his wife with not one, but two women. One of the girls is Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen.

The Timberwolves re-signed Beasley to a four-year deal worth $60 million in restricted free agency. The former Denver Nuggets wing averaged 20.7 points in 14 games with the Timberwolves before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March due to the coronavirus.

Minnesota didn't play in the NBA bubble at Walt Disney World, as the team wasn't invited.

With the Nuggets and Timberwolves, Beasley has career averages of 8.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 38.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Timberwolves drafted Anthony Edwards with the first overall pick in the 2020 draft. The franchise may want to keep the youngster around Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell as much as possible since Minnesota doesn't have that much veteran leadership on the squad and Beasley doesn't appear to have his head on a swivel.
