The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly not done making moves after dealing Jeff Teague and Treveon Graham to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Allen Crabbe on Thursday. The Wolves have been in talks with teams searching another ballhandler, according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

They Wolves recently went after Indiana Pacers second-year point man Aaron Holiday, but the talks went nowhere at the time. Holiday is one of the exciting pieces president Kevin Pritchard brought in during the 2018 NBA Draft. The 23-year-old has nearly doubled his production from his rookie season, averaging 10.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists this season, taking on starting cameos for the often-injured Malcolm Brogdon.

The Timberwolves were reportedly eyeing New York Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr., which the team acquired at the last trade deadline during the Kristaps Porzingis trade. New York has been operating with Elfrid Payton as the starter and Smith has only logged one start in his 21 games with the team this season. He started in 18 of his 21 games with the Knicks in 2018-19 after he was dealt in February.

Minnesota has used a mix of Shabazz Napier and Jarrett Culver in the backcourt since ousting Teague from his position as a starter, but Napier has been hot and cold since dropping four straight 20-point games from Dec. 30 to Jan. 5.

It seems like the Wolves are looking for a young point guard to develop instead of a veteran like Teague, though acquiring those types of players will come at a cost, considering the potential they have ahead of them.
