The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without starting power forward Taj Gibson when they take on the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.

According to the Timberwolves' PR department, Taj Gibson is out for personal reasons.

Gibson has started all 28 games for Minnesota this season. The 10-year veteran is averaging 10.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 52.2 percent from the field, 41.7 percent from beyond the arc and 68.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Timberwolves are 13-15 on the season, 14th place in the rugged Western Conference.

Dario Saric will likely replace Taj Gibson in the starting lineup. Saric, acquired by the team in the Jimmy Butler trade, is averaging 10.8 points in 14 games with Minnesota while shooting 48.3 percent from the floor and 35.8 percent from the 3-point line.

Whenever a player is missing a game for personal reasons, you always have to hope everything is good with their family. Here's to hoping that Gibson and his loved ones are in a good place.

The Timberwolves are looking to snap a three-game losing streak when they take on the Suns. They have lost to the Portland Trail Blazers, Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. The Suns are coming off a rare win, as they defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.
