The Minnesota Timberwolves are out of the 2022 NBA Playoffs. They fell to the Memphis Grizzlies 4-2 in the first round. Although his team is out of the postseason tournament, Patrick Beverley is still having fun with things.

The guard took to Twitter early Friday morning to poke fun at the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. According to his tweet, the Timberwolves “ended basketball in LA.”

Technically, Beverley isn't wrong. The Timberwolves defeated the Clippers in the play-in tournament to earn their spot in the playoffs. Minnesota also played a role in keeping the Lakers out of the playoffs this season, winning three of four regular-season matchups.

Despite the truth behind it, Beverley was just messing around, which he clarified in a tweet posted just three minutes later.

This isn't the first time that Beverley has started some Twitter drama.

After defeating the Timberwolves in the first round, the Grizzlies advanced to take on the Golden State Warriors. They went up 1-0 before suffering a Game 2 loss led by Ja Morant and his 47-point performance.

Beverley took to Twitter to share his reaction to Morant's stunner, poking fun at the Warriors for allowing him to pop off on offense like that.

At this point, it's pretty obvious that nobody should take anything Beverley tweets to heart, especially if they're posted after midnight.
