Three Minnesota Timberwolves players, led by All-Star point guard D’Angelo Russell, blocked Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler at the rim with 1.2 seconds left to secure a thrilling comeback victory in South Beach.

This is an amazing win by the Timberwolves without superstar big man Karl-Anthony Towns. It marks just the second time Minnesota won a game in their last 20 contests.

Russell led the Timberwolves with 27 points in 21 minutes. Other newcomer Malik Beasley poured in 21 points and Juancho Hernangomez scored 17.

Minnesota isn’t going to make the playoffs this season. However, this game just shows the group of players in The Twin Cities haven’t given up on head coach Ryan Saunders.
