Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns made Jeff Green regret his decision to attempt drawing a charge on the All-Star big man Saturday night.

See the clip below (courtesy of Dime on Twitter) of Towns flying in and putting Green in his Kodak moment in the first quarter of the Timberwolves-Wizards contest.

You have to applaud Green for putting in a valiant effort to sacrifice his body and take a charge for the team. However, it appeared Green was still sliding despite being in position outside the restricted area.

Towns has been playing with a different mindset ever since he reportedly had a near-death experience. The two-time All-Star was involved in a car accident a couple of weeks ago and missed two games under the concussion protocol, the first time he ever sat out an NBA game.

Since then, Towns has been a beast. Grateful to play and happy to do what he does for a living, Karl-Anthony Towns has thrived. Over that span of time since his return from the accident, he has been averaging 34.3 points, 14 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, and is shooting over 59 percent from the field and 48 percent from deep.

Towns, however, appeared to suffer a knee injury near the end of the game against the Wizards on Saturday. He reportedly “felt a pop” and didn't return for overtime, when the Timberwolves held on to win, 135-130.

Towns finished his night with 40 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 37 minutes. The former first draft pick has been an iron man so far in his career, playing every game before missing the two games due to the life-threatening accident.

With this new injury scare, Timberwolves fans may have to hold their breath as they wait on further updates regarding their franchise big man.
