Los Angeles Lakers center Timofey Mozgov reportedly suffered a groin injury sustained while playing for Russia in an international exhibition game against Ukraine last week.

It was another tough break for the seven-footer. Last summer, his momentum was also marred as he recovered from surgery. It resulted to a poor start and he never got his confidence back.

In a fortunate turn of events, it seems like there is hope for Mozgov to avoid another summer setback. According to the LA Times, Mozgov got back on the court, and was able to play through a full practice with no pain.

Timofey Mozgov missed two games after receiving an MRI last weekend, and has no restrictions from the Lakers on playing with the Russian team.

The Lakers' $64 million center should be a go for training camp with no lingering issues, and ready to help the young team get ready for the season.
