After spending 13 years in the NFL, it sounds like Jason McCourty is calling it a career. He earned his stripes with the Tennessee Titans, serving as one of the only bright spots during the franchise's downward spiral. However, he was able to win a Super Bowl ring alongside his twin brother with the New England Patriots later on. Now, he moves on to life outside of football.

According to Mike Giardi, McCourty made the announcement via Instagram. As a former sixth-round pick, he was a long shot to have a career in the league, to begin with. Instead, Jason McCourty beat the odds and played a vital role with the Titans, making him a legend of that franchise forever. During his time in Tennessee, the veteran cornerback recorded 506 total tackles, 73 pass deflections, 13 interceptions, six forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, and two touchdowns.

After making his name with the Titans, McCourty moved on to the Cleveland Browns for one season before playing for the Patriots. During that time, Jason McCourty played alongside his twin brother, Devin McCourty, and the two won a Super Bowl title in 2019. After three years in New England, he went on to play for the Miami Dolphins in 2021.

Now, Jason McCourty ends his spectacular career after 13 long seasons. He'll be remembered on the Titans as one of the best cornerbacks in franchise history. His Super Bowl ring with the Patriots adds on to his legacy as a football player, giving him a full career in the NFL he and his family can be proud of.
