Jadeveon Clowney, are you listening? If Johnathan Joseph of the Tennessee Titans had his way, there is no doubt who his number one target is in free agency.

The Titans’ newest cornerback revealed in a video conference that he prefers to have Jadeveon Clowney follow him in Tennessee.

“We've known each other for a long time, and he's a great friend of mine. I would love to have him with the Titans,” said Joseph as transcribed by Jim Wyatt.

The two Pro Bowlers have a lot in common.

Both Joseph and Clowney hail from Rock Hill, South Carolina, and starred for the Gamecocks football program. As fate would have it, the duo joined forces for the Houston Texans from 2014-2018, when they won three AFC South titles. Could they now reunite with the Titans?

Joseph stated that his lines are open for advice anytime. The cornerback reiterated that while he wants to have a reunion with his buddy with the Titans, it is still the latter’s decision at the end of the day and Clowney would have his support through and through.

As one of the game’s premier defensive ends, many observers find it surprising that Clowney is still a free agent, and that the Titans or other teams haven't inked him to a deal. For him though, it is all about the perfect timing:

“I know what’s going on in the world. It’s a slow process until teams can see me and see what I got and can give me physicals. I’m just waiting for the right opportunity,” revealed Clowney, who could soon be headed to the Titans.

Nevertheless, Jadeveon stays in football shape and eagerly waiting on the sidelines should any NFL team, including the Titans, contact him for his services.

“I want to let people know I’m ready, and whoever I sign with is gonna get the best version of me.”
