The extended stay on the market continues for former Seattle Seahawks edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney. It seems Tennessee Titans safety Kenny Vaccaro is ramping up his efforts as a recruiter on the team's behalf.

Head coach Mike Vrabel has long confirmed that the Titans are among the teams interested in landing Clowney's services. Vaccaro has now put his recruiting after taking to Twitter to gauge his interest:

Vaccaro is not the first player in Tennessee to give his pitch. Even left tackle Taylor Lewan extended an olive branch for Clowney to join his as teammates rather than potential opponents.

The interest from the Titans is certainly understandable considering the type of impact Clowney is capable of having on the game. Although his sack numbers may have been down during the 2019 campaign (3.0), the efforts of the three-time Pro Bowler went far beyond the stat sheet.

There is no question that he would immediately become their premier rusher off the edge, given this team's inability to provide consistent pressure on the quarterback in recent years. Clowney made it clear at the start of free agency that he would be looking to sign with a contender, and Tennessee certainly fits the billing.

The question remains on whether or not the Titans will be able to bargain with him on the lucrative price tag he has set this offseason. After all, they already went on quite a spending spree by securing quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry to lucrative, long-term extensions. It will be interesting to see just how much of an impact the pleas of Vaccaro and Lewan ultimately have on his decision-making process.
