The Tennessee Titans were able to pull off quite the upset over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10 thanks to the heroics of quarterback Ryan Tannehill. It seems his performance has made quite the impression on safety Kevin Byard.

Despite his modest numbers, Tannehill was nothing short of spectacular in the clutch 35-32 win over the Chiefs. Byard says his tenure as the starter has been incredible to watch thus far, via John Glennon:

“(Tannehill) has been incredible since he’s been the starter,” Titans safety Kevin Byard said. “I’m happy for him. I’m just happy that the offense was able to go out and execute and make plays at the end of the day. It’s just exciting.”

“It was incredible, man,” Byard said. “Ryan Tannehill threw some darts. He threw some strikes. I mean, our offense has been rolling. I can’t do nothing but be happy for those guys.”

Byard's comments are certainly understandable considering what their success in recent weeks has meant for both the team and Tannehill's career. He arrived as a backup this offseason after being outed as the franchise quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. Regardless, Tannehill has now led quite the resurgence now that the Titans have gone 3-1 since he took over for quarterback Marcus Mariota in Week 7.

Tannehill's play has clearly had a positive effect on the locker room in Tennessee as they look potentially get back into the playoff hunt. They are entering the bye on a high note and will have an extra week of rest to prepare for crucial back-to-back matchups with AFC South opponents when they come back in Week 12.
