On Thursday night, the Tennessee Titans stole the show from the 2022 NFL Draft, by shockingly trading Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles for a first-round and third-round draft pick. Titans fans everywhere were metaphorically jumping off buildings after the news broke.

Future Hall of Fame offensive lineman, Taylor Lewan, took the time to respond to Titans fans on Twitter.

“You guys are fans of a team that made a big decision last night. There is always 3 sides to every story but y’all have the right to feel however you want,” Lewan tweeted.

Admittedly though, when the news broke that the Titans had traded Brown, Lewan himself appeared as shocked as anyone.

A.J. Brown was looking to get paid this offseason. The Titans had reportedly sent his camp offers, but he was unhappy and felt like the organization had low-balled him. The Titans franchise clearly must have felt that a deal was not going to be possible. You could see the disgust on Tennessee coach Mike Vrabel's face while speaking to the media afterward. They wanted him to be part of the team.

But if a deal was never going to be reached, they felt they needed to get what they could out of him. The Titans used the first-round pick acquired from the Eagles to draft wide receiver Traylon Burks out of Arkansas. Burks has long arms, great body control and is a game-breaker type receiver. His style of play is not all that different from Brown and many draft analysts actually compared Burks to Brown during the pre-draft process.

If Burks can become close to that level of player, this move will prove to be genius.
